Meet Keel Ross, Transatlantic Council President

Meet Keel Ross, Transatlantic Council President

The role of a Scouting America Council President is both dynamic and deeply impactful, requiring a blend of visionary leadership, practical stewardship, and heartfelt passion. As the new Council President, I am entrusted with guiding Transatlantic Council’s Scouting movement toward greater success, ensuring that our programs remain vibrant, relevant, and accessible. My tenure will be shaped by two of my guiding passions: “putting the outing in Scouting” and the belief that “every Scout deserves a trained leader.” These ideals will inform every decision I make and inspire the direction in which I lead our council.

I am deeply committed to TAC.  Both my son and my daughter were Cub Scouts in Pack 44 in Stuttgart, Germany, where I was also the Cubmaster.  I have been associated with TAC since 1999, and I have seen the impact Scouting has on the youth in our overseas communities.  I want to thank Dan Coberly for his years of service as our Council President.  Much like Dan, I have an open door policy to hear your issues and concerns with TAC.

I know the role of Council President is rooted in service, vision, and dedication to youth development. My passions for “putting the outing in Scouting” and ensuring “every Scout deserves a trained leader” guide my leadership and shape our council’s priorities. By championing outdoor adventure, investing in leadership training, and emphasizing financial health, I strive to grow our movement and make Scouting accessible and meaningful for every young person. Together, with committed volunteers and supporters, we can build a brighter future for our Scouts and our community.
