Campership

Campership Application

Make Camp a Reality

A long-term resident camp is more than just a summer getaway—it’s a life-changing experience. From outdoor adventures to leadership development, camp provides an opportunity for Scouts to challenge themselves, build lifelong friendships, and create memories that will last a lifetime. However, we understand that the cost of camp, along with uniforms and essential gear, can be a financial burden for some families. That’s where the Campership Program comes in.

At Scouting America, we believe that every Scout deserves the chance to experience the magic of camp, regardless of financial circumstances. The Transatlantic Council (TAC) is committed to ensuring that no Scout is left behind due to cost barriers. Through careful planning and the support of generous donors, we offer campership assistance to help make long-term resident camp accessible to all.

The Eric Cooley Memorial Campership Fund

A key source of campership funding is the Eric Cooley Memorial Campership Fund, which has helped make camp possible for many Scouts. In 2023 alone, over $4,000 was awarded to applicants attending TAC long-term resident camps and national training events!
