A Farewell Message from Dan Coberly, Past President of TAC
Thank you for being a member of Transatlantic Council and Scouting America!
Thank you for the opportunity to serve as your Council President for the past two years.
I came. I saw. I was Prepared. And I did my Best. Those are the Scout and Cub Scout mottos.
I strived to do a Good Turn Daily—that’s the Scout Slogan.
I did my best to follow the Scout Oath and Law—and reminded a few others of it a time or two.
A good Scout leaves a campground with “no trace”. And yet each of us leaves a trace in Scouting because we make a difference in how we act as leaders.
Make a positive difference. Find out what needs to be done and do it. Strive to “Help people at all times”. Serve on a District or Council committee and learn about how a council operates so you can be more effective in your role.
Reach out to your new Council President, Keel Ross, and offer your support!
See you soon.
Dan Coberly
Past President, TAC
Vice President, NESA
TAC Eagle 1970; Distinguished Eagle Scout, Silver Buffalo
