Visiting TAC
Welcoming Scouts from Other Councils to Experience What We Live On a Daily Basis
Welcome to the Transatlantic Council! We hope you enjoy your visit!
We cover 14 time zones, are part of 4 WOSM Regions, and have Scouting America Programs in over 50 countries. Our Scouts interact with Scouts from other nations to form the bonds of worldwide friendship. With the Scouting movement being born at Brownsea Island, the home of Wood Badge in Gilwell Park outside of London, Kandersteg International Scout Center in Switzerland, Intercamp (the traveling European camporee), Moots, and Kenya being the final resting place of Lord Baden-Powell, Transatlantic Council is well placed to let you gain new Scouting experiences.
In addition, TAC itself offers unique experiences such as our nearly 30 Historical Trails, the Normandy Camporee on Omaha Beach in France, Council Klondike Derby in Switzerland, Camp Alpine resident camp in the Swiss Alps, Camp Avantura resident camp on the Adriatic Sea in Croatia, and Camp Kenya resident camp. We also hold Wood Badge and National Youth Leadership Training courses each summer.
Whether you traveling internationally as part of a Scouting America contingent, travelling with your troop, or just with your family, Transatlantic Council welcomes you to Overseas Adventure!
