TAC Visits with RAF Lakenheath Command Leadership

Following on recent Report to Commands with base commanders in the Ramstein/Kaiserslautern Military Community and US NATO staff, Transatlantic Council also met with base leadership at RAF (Royal Air Force) Lakenheath.

TAC Mayflower District Chair JP Frossard, along with TAC Scout Executive/CEO Joshua Dick, and his wife Krista, recently met with senior command leadership of the 48th Fighter Wing at Royal Air Force Lakenheath. They met with BG Michael Alfaro, Commander of the 48th Fighter Wing; COL Nicholas Jurewicz, Deputy Commander; and Command Chief Master Sergeant Joseph Rohde. BG Alfaro serves as the U.S. Country Representative to the United Kingdom.

This was an opportunity for TAC to provide an overview of its 2025 annual report which helped raise TAC’s visibility and awareness. Frossard highlighted the myriads of Eagle Scout service projects that benefitted the base and encouraged based leadership to share other areas where Scouts can be of help. Special thanks to TAC volunteer Chris Cassem for arranging this special visit. Leadership agreed to make this an annual Report to Command.

Dick presented military leadership with a specially designed TAC’s Heritage in Action 250th anniversary neckerchief celebrating our country’s key anniversary which was tied using a friendship knot. In addition, Dick presented a special wood frame featuring Scouting America’s Military Service knot along with TAC’s Council Shoulder patch celebrating our country’s 250th anniversary.

Following the Report to Command, Frossard and Mr. and Mrs. Dick continued to the Mayflower District Camporee, at Lees Wood Scout & Guide Activity Centre in Chandler’s Cross, United Kingdom, where over 100 Scouts from throughout Mayflower District participated in a wonderful weekend camporee which included unit and patrol activities, obstacles courses, rifle trials, crafts and games.
