Leader Award Recognitions
A little recognition goes a long way
Every young person in the Scouting program needs and deserves a leader who understands the aims of the program and knows how to deliver it with enthusiasm and fun—in short, a trained leader. Because they understand their role, trained leaders have a positive influence on the lives of youth. How well we influence the lives of these young people depends on their leaders’ understanding of the program and their responsibilities.
We know that our Scouting volunteers do not do what they do for the pay or recognition, they invest their time in the future for the benefit of the youth. Most leaders are performing at the level to earn their Scouter’s Training Awards; however, many may be too humble to ask for an award. Listed in this TAC Scouter Awards document are National level and Council awards that leaders can earn through training and through nominations by their peers. Who in your circle of Scouting is deserving of one or more of these recognitions?
