Call for Nominations: TAC Scouters Making an Impact
Across the Transatlantic Council, dedicated Scouters give their time, energy, and talent to shape the lives of young people and strengthen our Scouting community. From unit leaders and commissioners to committee members and alumni supporters, their service often happens quietly – behind the scenes, after hours, and without expectation of recognition. That’s why it’s so important that we pause to recognize them.
Many of TAC’s most meaningful awards are honors bestowed through a thoughtful selection process approved by volunteer committees. These awards celebrate exceptional character, leadership, and service. And they begin with your nomination. If you know a Scouter whose impact deserves to be recognized, please take a few moments to submit a nomination. Send all nominations to John Erskine by July 31, 2026.

Silver Beaver Award
The Silver Beaver Award is the council-level distinguished service award of Scouting America. Recipients of this award are registered adult leaders who have made an impact on the lives of youth through service given to the council.
The Silver Beaver is an award given to those who implement the Scouting program and perform community service through hard work, self-sacrifice, dedication, and many years of service.
Please send completed nominations to John Erskine, cc’ing Jeff Arter, TAC Silver Beaver Committee Chair, by July 31.

Council Alumnus of the Year Award
The Council Alumnus of the Year Award is Scouting Alumni’s highest recognition. NESA National Outstanding Eagle Scout Award (NOESA)
The NESA Outstanding Eagle Scout Award (NOESA) is a prestigious recognition granted by a local council’s NESA (National Eagle Scout Association) committee to Eagle Scouts who have demonstrated outstanding achievement at the local, state, or regional level. Unlike the Distinguished Eagle Scout Award, which is a national award, the NOESA recognizes Eagle Scouts whose efforts have made a positive impact closer to home.

Take a Moment to Say “Thank You”
Recognition strengthens our culture of appreciation and reminds our volunteers that their service truly matters. A nomination is a meaningful way to say, “Your dedication has made a difference.”
Please help us ensure that the outstanding leaders of the Transatlantic Council receive the recognition they deserve. Submit your nominations by July 31, 2026, and join us in celebrating the very best of TAC.
