Troop 46 Gives Back in Berlin with 32 Hours of Service

Troop 46 demonstrated the true spirit of Scouting through a day of service in Berlin, contributing an impressive 32 service hours to support local German Scouts at their Steglitz camping facility.

The day began with a large task board outlining everything that needed to be accomplished. As the hours passed, Scouts worked steadily to move tasks from “To Do” to “In Progress” and finally to “Done.” The board quickly transformed into a visual reminder of teamwork, organization, and shared success.

Scouts took on a wide range of hands-on projects across the campsite. They cleared gutters, organized equipment sheds, and restored firewood storage areas, even tackling soot-covered light fixtures. Other efforts included leveling ground for future improvements, planting trees and bushes, and constructing a privacy fence using reclaimed wood. Each task required cooperation, problem-solving, and leadership in action.

Troop 46 strengthened international Scouting connections while making a meaningful impact on the community. The experience highlighted how Scouting transcends borders, bringing people together through shared values of service and stewardship.

By the end of the day, the results were clear: a safer, more organized, and more welcoming campsite for Scouts to enjoy. More importantly, Troop 46 left knowing they had contributed to something larger than themselves.

This effort is a powerful reminder that Scouting is about more than adventure; it’s about giving back, building communities, and making a difference wherever you are in the world.
