A limited number of American flags flown over Omaha Beach during the Transatlantic Council’s Normandy Camporee are now available. For a $250 gift, bring home a piece of history and help support Scouting for military, federal, and expat families around the world.
Scouts of the Transatlantic Council stood on Omaha Beach to commemorating the D-Day Landings. As part of past Normandy Camporees, American flags were flown over the very sands where Allied forces changed the course of history, a tribute carried out by Scouts, for the generations who served.
Now, as our nation celebrates America’s 250th anniversary, we’re offering a limited number of these flags to Scouting families, veterans, and supporters back home. For a one-time gift of $250, we will ship one of these flags directly to your address. It’s meaningful way to mark America 250 and honor the veterans in your life this Veterans Day.
Scouting That Serves Those Who Serve
The Transatlantic Council is unlike any other council in Scouting America. Stationed across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia, we deliver the full Scouting program to military-connected youth and American expat families who would otherwise have no access to it. For the sons and daughters of service members stationed overseas, Scouting offers something irreplaceable: stability, community, and a sense of home, no matter how many times their family has had to move.
The Transatlantic Council has also been named Custodian of Omaha Beach by the French Republic, a responsibility we carry with pride, and one that connects today’s Scouts directly to the legacy of those who sacrificed everything on that shore. Every flag flown there, and every gift that supports our council, helps ensure that legacy – and the Scouting program that honors it – continues for the next generation of military, federal, and expat families.
Limited-Time America 250 Offering
These flags are available as a special limited-time offering in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, with the offer available through November 15, 2026. The Transatlantic Council’s tradition of flying American flags over Normandy will continue. During future Normandy Camporees, Scouts will once again fly flags over the beaches where history was made.
However, if you would like to own one of the flags from this current offering, don’t wait. Once the flags currently available have been claimed, you may have to wait until additional flags become available following a future Camporee.
