Wood Badge 2026 Course Director Announced

The Transatlantic Council is proud to announce the selection of Dave Ruiz as the Course Director for the Council’s 2026 Wood Badge Course, Scouting’s premier leadership training program for adult volunteers. Dave is a long-time Transatlantic Council (TAC) Scouter, having served as Cubmaster of Pack 184 in England from 2007–2011, and as a dedicated member of the council board and committees since 2007. He currently serves as Crew Advisor for Crew 4321 in Lake Forest, California, as well as a Unit Commissioner supporting at-risk units in Orange County, CA.

An Eagle Scout himself and father of two Eagle Scouts, Dave brings decades of Scouting experience and a deep passion for leadership development. He is thrilled to serve as Course Director for Wood Badge 12-802-26 and looks forward to delivering an unforgettable training experience for Scouters from across the council.
