The Normandy Camporee – organized by the Transatlantic Council (TAC) has evolved into a key cornerstone of the recognition and remembrance of the historic global event of 6 June 1944.   Transatlantic Council has been recognized by the Republic of France as “Custodians of Omaha Beach”. 

The 11th edition of the Normandy Camporee was held April 2024 in Normandy, France and was attended by Scouts from Transatlantic Council, Councils from the USA, French Scouts, UK Scouts, and German Scouts to celebrate being Messengers of Peace.

The next editition is planned for April 2027 for the 83rd Anniversary of the D-Day Landings.
